Better Nature brings Tempeh into the mainstream.
Langenhagen, May 13th, 2024. Better Nature aims to bring its Tempeh into the mainstream. The high-quality Tempeh is now enriching the product range of Uplegger Food Company in two variants: as natural organic Tempeh and as smoked Tempeh. The startup Better Nature, with a strong commitment to environmental friendliness and social responsibility, is offering a sustainable and healthy dietary option for consumers.
For over 300 years, Tempeh has been a staple in Indonesian cuisine, offering a rich source of natural plant-based proteins. 'Our Tempeh it's a nutrient-rich product that not only tastes great but can also be quickly and easily prepared,' explains Christopher Kong, CEO and Co-founder of Better Nature Tempeh.
Better Nature Tempeh is made from naturally fermented whole soybeans, and the smoked variant is seasoned with smoked salt. It is perfect for a variety of dishes, from sandwiches and salads to main meals like rice dishes and casseroles.
The market is shifting towards natural and healthy products. That is where our Tempeh becomes a fantastic addition to the range, meeting the growing demand for tasty, versatile, and easy-to-prepare plant-based products," Kong explains.
Better Nature's Tempeh stands out for its exceptionally low carbon footprint, with its tempeh producing 95% less CO2 than an equivalent amount of beef. The company is certified as a B-Corp, meaning Better Nature meets strict standards regarding environmental performance, transparency, and social responsibility. Additionally, Better Nature supports various charitable organizations such as YUM, a charity in Indonesia focused on alleviating childhood malnutrition.
Better Nature Tempeh Organic (200g) and Better Nature Tempeh Smoked (220g) are available in packs of 10 through Uplegger for the German market (RRP* €2.99 - €3.29).
